TENDER INVITATION

On behalf of the South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), Nothule Solutions (Pty) Ltd, acting as the Employer, hereby invites suitably qualified and experienced survey service providers to submit quotations for the provision of topographical survey services under RFQ No. R300-010-2022/1RF_SURV for Contract SANRAL R300-0102022/1RF: Consulting Engineering Services for the Construction of New Facilities on National Route R300 Section 1 from km 28.60 to km 32.00 and the Completion of the Stellenberg Interchange (R300/N1).

The purpose of this Request for Quotations (RFQ) is to appoint a suitably qualified survey service provider to undertake topographical survey services in support of the planning, design and documentation of the proposed road improvement works.  

The required services include, but are not limited to:

• Establishment and verification of survey control.
• Topographical ground surveys.
• Digital Terrain Model (DTM) surveys.
• Survey of existing road infrastructure and associated features.
• Survey of drainage structures and watercourses.
• Survey of bridge structures and other engineering structures, where required.
• Survey of visible utilities and existing services.
• Processing and verification of survey data.
• Preparation of survey reports and digital survey deliverables.
• Preparation of CAD drawings and other electronic survey outputs.
• Quality assurance and submission of all survey information in accordance with the project requirements.

The survey services shall be undertaken in accordance with:

• TMH11: Standard Survey Methods (latest applicable edition);
• The SANRAL General Conditions of Contract;
• SANRAL General Specifications;
• SANRAL Survey Specifications;
• The Geomatics Profession Act, 2013 (Act No. 19 of 2013);
• The project-specific Scope of Work and Bill of Quantities form part of this RFQ.

• Annexure C: Returnable Schedules

Quotations are invited from survey companies registered in terms of Section 17(1) of the Geomatics Profession Act, 2013 (Act No. 19 of 2013), with demonstrable experience in undertaking topographical surveys for road infrastructure projects.

Completed quotations shall be clearly marked:
