NOTICE
Zutari (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the Engineer / Engineering Consultant) has been appointed by The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) (hereinafter referred to as the Employer/Applicant) for Consulting Engineering Services on the R61 Section 6 near Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape Province under our following contracts, running concurrently:
CONTRACT SANRAL R.061-060-2012/1 FOR UPGRADING ON NATIONAL ROUTE R61 SECTION 6 FROM TSOJANA (KM 7.3) TO TSOMO RIVER (KM 22.9)
CONTRACT SANRAL C.003-051-2018/1 FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS ON THE UPGRADING OF NATIONAL ROAD R61 SECTION 6 FROM TSOJANA (KM 7.3) TO TSOMO RIVER (KM 22.9).
The Engineer must appoint an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) as an independent specialist to objectively and regularly monitor the Contractor’s compliance with the conditions of the authorizations issued for the project and the approved EMPr (the EMPI augmented with specifics of the project). These are external audits, and the regularity is determined by the environmental authorisations.
Quotations are herewith requested from competent and acceptable Environmental Practitioners to be appointed as the Environmental Control Officer (ECO) as described in this document. This document sets out the requirements for the work.
